THE GARDENER

Prayer: Gracious Heavenly Father, You are the author and finisher of my faith. Because of Your precise, detailed planning of my life, I can move forward in confidence and with fire. Thank you for intentionally planting good in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Scripture: But He answered and said, Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Matthew 15:13 NKJV
I have tried planting carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and eggplant. None of the plants survived under my care. I came from a family of farmers and gardeners, but somehow the green thumb was not passed down to me. Instead my thumb is as brown as the wilted plants in my garden. On the other hand, our heavenly Father is an amazing gardener. He has planted good righteous seeds in our lives. Unfortunately, Satan does some gardening work as well. In a parable Jesus describes how the enemy comes in unaware to plant tares. Satan plants bad dreams, false destinies, detours, and counterfeits. He is a deceiver and liar.
Thankfully, we can pray the words written in Matthew 15:13 and in full faith believe that our Lord uproots all of Satan’s plans. Thank God for His powerful Word. I recommend you walk around your classroom or office claiming the Word of the Lord. Let everything not planted by your heavenly Father be uprooted from your life as well as your students’ lives. Then let the fire of the Holy Ghost burn up every evil root in the name of Jesus!
