DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD
September 16, 2020
Prayer: Lord, I choose today to delight myself in all you are. You are my source of joy, you are my peace, you are my rest, and I am so in awe of you. Change my heart to reflect yours as I delight myself in you today.
Scripture: Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 NIV
Do you delight in the Lord? What does that mean? Do you seek Him for all your needs? Do you give Him thanks for the good days and even the bad days in school? Do you ask Him to help your students and colleagues to be successful? Do you think about Him? Does He give you great pleasure? Delighting in the Lord is trusting and knowing that He has created you to be an educator and that He will give you all the desires of your heart when you delight in Him. As we delight in Him, we will learn how to delight in our students also, even and perhaps especially, those who don’t deserve our love. Be delighted in all that you do. It’s contagious.

Whoa. These are hard days!! Teaching is challenging and not very fun some days. These little affirmations help me, as I reread them through the day. The joy of the Lord is my strength!
Am really happy. Can we create a whatsap page also for this educators to interact?

Karen, I really loved this devotional. Although we are no longer in the classroom, we are certainly advised to delight ourselves in the Lord! Perhaps you still are in the classroom, though. Miss you. You are awesome! You always had so much energy!!!!!! This was a really good word!
