CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT ALL THE LORD HAS DONE

Prayer: Oh my most wonderful God! I want to think about You all day today.
Scripture: But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember Your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about Your mighty works. Psalms 77:11-12 NLT
How often do we pause to remember ALL that God has done — done for us — much less all that He has accomplished?
It is mind boggling to list accurately what we KNOW about, that HE has done for us, and then to multiply that times the others God loves. To realize the scope of salvation offered through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and the breadth and depth of implications from His resurrection blows out any and all limits our minds may have placed on what God can and will do.
If we then let our minds meander back through the centuries of God reaching, teaching, punishing, forgiving, and reaching again to people, we wonder how He ever can have patience with any of us. But His word says He does!
What if I were to keep such awareness of God’s deeds “constantly in my thoughts” as the Psalmist here says? What if, instead of saying “I cannot start thinking about you during my busy days, Lord” I would say with the Psalmist “I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works?”
Shall we pray today that this will be the case with us? I will. I hope you will as well.
