IT’S ONLY A TEST
November 18, 2019
Prayer: Heavenly Father I trust You. I know that You would not leave me. I thank You for hearing my prayers and answering. I lean into You for strength. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Scripture: And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 10: 22 NKJV

If we’re going to serve Christ wholeheartedly and in spirit and truth, then we are going to face persecution and tests. Jesus said in Matthew 10:22 that we would be hated by all for His name’s sake. Jesus was hated by many. Through persecution we must walk in love. Jesus gave the perfect example of how to walk in love.

Several years ago, a parent of one of my students decided she didn’t like me and tried her best to cause trouble for me. It went as far as the superintendent coming to visit my classroom. At the time, I didn’t know what I know now. I became very angry and irritated. Thank God, the superintendent found no fault in me and the issue dissolved.

I encourage you to respond differently than I did. I encourage you to pray and ask God for discernment. Using discernment is wisdom to know when God is testing you, the enemy is attacking you, and it brings awareness to who is for or against you. Using discernment will save you a lot of trouble. Remember Luke 6:28 KJV “Bless those who curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” I urge you to declare daily that you’ll walk in love as Christ did. Let’s imitate Christ in every area of our lives. Don’t lose footing in your faith when persecution comes. Jehovah-nissi fights for us. Be blessed.
