SHIELD OF LOVE
September 24, 2019

Prayer: Father, thank you for the joy and love in which you surround me. Teach me to love like you love, to love my students because I am so immersed in the reality of the love you have given me. May they feel your love through me today.

Scripture: But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:11-12 NIV
He protects us with His shield of love. Wow, that’s beautiful! As Christians in the public school, we can protect our students with a shield of love. We love them because of His love. It is very difficult to love the unlovable, to love the students who are being disrespectful or rebellious, but that is our charge as a Christian. They will know us by our love. Let us pray for His love to cover us that we may protect our students with a shield of love.

Quote for the Day: Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them makes life meaningful. Joshua Marine

    Thank you!

  • Rick says:

“It is very difficult to love the unlovable…” Actually, it is not only difficult, it is impossible. But that is exactly what we are called to do as Christians. We are to love the unlovable because God loved us when we were absolutely unlovable. Only Christ in us can do this.
