THE GOOD NEWS GOING OUT- 08/13/2019

Prayer: We pray You will lead us to someone today who is ready to hear about You, Lord.  Please show us how to be brave for You.

Scripture:  This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is changing lives everywhere, just as it changed yours. Colossians 1:6 NLT

God’s ‘good news’ is that through Christ’s atonement, we are forgiven and we are changed forever. We have new lives and new natures to live.  And the new lives go on forever.  That is good news, indeed, to us who once were lost in sin! And that news is for others.  Why are we keeping this great news to ourselves??

Someone you know needs to know this Good News that you have discovered.  Someone you know needs to have the peace that you now have– or could have if you embraced it by faith.  Hearts have changed all over the world across the past two millennia, and continue to change.  But one day soon, perhaps, the changing will cease and mankind’s collective heart will grow ice-cold and rock hard against God. There are signs all around us in our culture that it is beginning to happen.

Keep up the work of telling others, regardless of how they respond.  Don’t wait for them to ask, show them Christ by His love in you and then be prepared to give an answer for the reason of the faith within you. They will want to know– even if they don’t ask!
