WORDS

Prayer: Let us listen and learn.  Let us grow and change to be like Jesus.

Scripture:  Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.  Proverbs 13:18

The teachers’ lounge in most schools can turn into one big gossip ring.  Sadly, but true, even those of us who call ourselves Christians get caught up in the act.  The saddest part of all is that when we do, others who once looked to us for advice and wisdom, decide we are no different than anyone else.  Good words become tainted with, “but did you know…”

Noah Webster, “We should say nothing of a person in his absence that we should be unwilling to say if he were present.”

Proverbs 31:26 “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.”

Psalm 139:4 “There is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, You know it altogether.”
