THE LORD GOES BEFORE YOU AND IS WITH YOU

Prayer: We thank You and praise You, Lord, for being with us today. Our times are in Your hands.
Scripture: Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD is the One Who goes before you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT
I shudder to think of the times I have inadvertently let someone else down. When people put their trust in me, I am honored and try hard, but many times I am just not up to it. Why? Because the trust is misplaced. The trust needs to be in the Lord. If I trust in the Lord and you trust in the Lord then, when you anticipate what I might do that will assist you, it will be the Lord working through me. It will be for His purposes not yours or mine. Yes, people sometimes let us down and that often hurts. But don’t be too hard on those folks. Our trust is to be in God, not people. When we trust in God, He never fails us. He will never leave you or forsake you. Often I don’t understand what God is doing at a given moment, but I am safe when I trust that He knows what He is doing and my part is just to follow His steps and do what He does.
I pray your day is filled with courage because you recall that God has gone before you and arranged it all, and that He is with you each moment of the day, upholding and blessing you. Pray that you get to be a blessing to someone else as you share God’s peace.
