SUCH GREAT JOY TO KNOW

Prayer: We thank You, Lord, for the joy of Your coming to save us forever to be with You. Please guide us to speak of the reason for our joy that the Good News will be acceptable to a co-worker or student this year. Thank You. Amen.
Scripture: What joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of sin, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! Psalm 32:2NLT
When I really pause to think about this and other passages like this, I get all ‘tingly’ inside. Wow, God has overlooked my fallen self-centered nature and has cleared my record, has cleansed my mind and heart, has even entered into a joint spiritual existence with me and has begun making me over again into a new image: His image! Wow! If anything fits the use of the word ‘awesome’ this truth does.
He does more than ‘look the other way’ at my failures. He makes them as if they never happened and begins to teach me to avoid those kinds of choices. And when God looks upon us, following after Christ, the best we are able, He sees us as pure and spotless.
Living our lives in ‘complete honesty’ means we openly confess our status as sinners and our utter inability to become good. We confess our need of God’s provision for our full salvation, recognizing that we cannot connect with God any other way. Honesty means we embrace truth, and unconditional trust in God to provide eternity for us, as we embrace His lordship.
I pray your day is filled with those ‘tingly’ moments when you recall such great Salvation you have freely received from God by way of His grace alone through Christ Jesus our Lord.
