EXAMPLE

Prayer: Lord, help us to set a good example to our students and those around us.
Scripture: “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.” Titus 2:7-8a NIV
Who did you look up to as a child? Did you imitate their behavior, the way they dressed, or talked? Who do you look up to now, and why? It is one thing to set an example in our classrooms or offices when we are speaking directly to our students (parents or fellow educators), but what kind of example do we set in the hallways, parking lots, and other areas where we are also seen and heard. Body language, tone of voice, inappropriate language, and whispering also sets an example to those around us. “What we do speaks louder than anything we could ever say.”
