LET THE WORLD FADE OUT
January 2, 2018

Prayer: Please help me keep my eyes on You today, Lord.  May what is important to You become more important to me. Thank You. Amen.

Scripture: The end . . . is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 1 Peter 4:7 NLT

This world is fading away. . . . But if you do the will of God, you will live forever. 1 John 2:17 NLT
In the Scriptures we read of Jesus’ description about the world at the time of ‘the end’– the time when Christ will return and gather His body of believers while, the Lord further deals with disbelieving humankind for a short few years.  We need to be living our lives in the way that we would like Jesus to find us living them. Since He has given us the Holy Spirit to live within us– to change us into His nature, to guide and govern our priorities daily– then we can live no longer for self and for the world. We can be the Christ-like people of God this very day if we are willing to, by faith, permit His work of sanctifying grace daily. Let us join together today in praying that the priorities of ‘the world’ will fade out of our lives and the priorities of God will become paramount.

“Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other’s faults because of your love. Always keep yourselves united with the Holy Spirit and bind yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3 NLT
