KINGDOM VALUE

Prayer: Lord, please help us to value each child today and see the potential You have placed into each one. Thank You, Amen.

Scripture: But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Mark 10:14 NASB

You have probably been told at least one hundred times that the future of the world is sitting in your classrooms today. Future doctors, researchers, experts in all kinds of fields, parents, and maybe even a future President of the United States are under your care to nurture and equip them for their destiny.

I would like to take this thought process further, higher, if you will. Your student’s earthly future is of great worth but what about their “Kingdom Value?” What about the impact they will have for eternal purposes not just earthly ones? How many souls might be saved, how many more people may know Jesus as their Lord and Savior through the lives of your students. They will grow up and become parents; how will they raise their children? What values will they instill in their children and require of our government? How might they change our culture or even the world from a Christian perspective? What plan does God have for each of your students? What does the future hold for them? What do they hold for the future?

As you pray over your classroom and school, pray for each student by name. Ask God to use you to help prepare them for His purposes.

How can your time with them impact their abilities to fulfill His plans for them? Which characteristics would you like to nurture? There is so much more to teach, than what is in our textbooks.

Seek and foster the Kingdom Value, as well as the earthly value, of all of your students and coworkers.
