We Are Women…

We are moms, daughters, students, athletes, survivors and businesswomen who believe our voices matter.
There’s a growing trend among our nation’s politicians to allow men to enter women’s spaces — public bathrooms, showers, locker rooms. As if this weren’t absurd enough, none of these politicians seems interested in talking with us — the women who will be most impacted by these rules—to learn how we feel about it.

We are standing together to share our stories with you. Together we say, Ask Me First. We’ll tell you why these efforts are anti-woman, how they directly harm each of us, and why politicians should never consider bringing them forward.

Never Out of His Sight: Learning to Discern the Voices

By CEAI Member Cheryl Samelson Skid

never-out-of-his-sight-web

“Cheryl! Don’t sing that! Jewish girls don’t believe that!” Mother had let her go just once to Vacation Bible School and she learned the song, “Jesus Loves Me.” Growing older, as she learned about the Holocaust and faced anti-Semitism, it was easier to believe that no Jewish girl could believe. As her heart grew hard and cold, she didn’t care. But the time came when, in all His glory and His brilliance, Jesus proved that—yes—Jewish girls could believe. The cover art, “Everlasting to Everlasting,” is by Fraser Leonard, a lifelong lover of Jesus which shows in all his artwork. Fraser weeps every time he talks about that day in his classroom and how his words rocked heaven without him suspecting anything. “I opened my mouth to talk to Cheryl about Jesus. She did not seem at all receptive. It wasn’t until thirty years later that she told me how my words impacted her. I fell on my knees, awed by what God had done through the words of my mouth.”

AW-180-lowres

Around the Word in 180 Days (AW180) is designed for the busy educator who loves the Word of God and prayer and seeks community. You are not alone. There are thousands of Christian educators who long to walk out their high calling legally and gracefully in our public schools. In the 2014-2015 school year, we were able to read through the whole New Testament together. In the 2015-2016 school year, we read all 150 Psalms and 31 Proverbs. Now that’s a lot of wisdom! All of these recordings are still available in the CEAI app. Included in our 10-15 minutes together on Around the Word in 180 Days for the 2016-2017 school year is:

  • an ABC prayer of adoration
  • a promise of God in 4 different translations
  • the 1:16PM prayer prompt
  • CEAI’s daily devotional
  • a quote suggestion to use in your classroom
  • A final prayer of encouragement

AW 180 Days can be heard in the following ways:
