GRACE

Prayer: Dear Lord, we commit this day and this week to You. Please give Your perspective and strength for the good work You have for us to do. Amen.

Scripture: “But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV

It is by God’s grace that we are saved, and not by our accomplishments or lack of accomplishments that our salvation is decided – thank God. Grace by definition is “undeserved”. How often do we give others undeserved love and forgiveness? What a wonderful gift it would be, if we let our students enter our schools and classrooms “new” this new year, with a clean slate. Not with a thunder cloud of past mistakes or easy ride of past accomplishments clouding our view of the potential that shines in all of God’s children. Every minute of every day we can start new through God’s grace. How can each of us carryout the attribute of giving grace in our daily environment (classroom, hallways, meetings, cafeteria, office, etc.)?
