“ARE WE TIRED YET?”

Prayer: Lord may we always look to you for our strength each day

Scripture: “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6b NIV

How many days have we been back to school?  My…how time flies!  The weather is changing, and we have what? – a “million” things to do?  Lesson plans, worksheets, tests to make, run off, and grade, students to tutor, questions to answer, meetings to attend, bus duty, recess duty…so goes the never ending jobs list.  Whew!  Are there still only twenty-four hours in each day?  Oh Lord, could we please have a little more time? Perhaps the “crunch” has not yet hit you; and if that is the case, that’s great!  There is a Scripture, however, we can all lean on.  Zechariah 4:6b (NIV) tells us, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”  Isn’t that wonderful news?  We do not have to depend solely upon our own strength, resources, or creativity.  We can give each day to Jesus.  We can talk with Him each morning and ask Him to be in our classrooms, to walk among the desks, to touch each child.  We can sense His presence beside us all day long. He will give us insights, ideas, and the intuition to effectively and productively guide our students to success.  Let’s lean on Jesus.  Praise His Name!
