The Year To Believe

Prayer: Lord, we do believe, help us overcome our unbelief!  Mark 9:24

Scripture:  “Everything is possible for one who believes.”  Mark 9:23 NIV

Do you know what Jesus can do through you in your professional life if you give Him a chance? Do you understand that no matter what student or how many students have been placed in your classroom or what administrative decisions are made, or what any parents may say or do to you or their children – through Christ you are more than a conqueror? (Romans 8:37) Do you know that the prayer of a righteous teacher is powerful and effective and that you are that teacher? (James 5:16) Do you know that you are the teacher in your school and district that Jesus wants to stand up for Him? (Matthew 10:22)  Do you know that you have never seen, have never heard of, and can’t even imagine the marvelous classroom and professional life that God has planned for you? (I Corinthians 2:9)

All these promises are as much for your professional life as they are for your personal life. They are in the Bible and God is downloading them from your mind deep down into the depths of your heart. Receive them. Believe Him. He is not one who lies. He is the true Promise Keeper. Follow Him in your professional life.

Reflection: What is one current area of doubt in my professional life? What is one of the promises of God that I am clinging to this year in my professional life that is lighting my way?

Getting Real:  Confess any professional fear or doubt to God and a trusted Christian friend. Ask God for a foundational promise in Scripture that He wants to use to guide you throughout this school year. Pray it and live it daily.
