Unforgettable

By May 13, 2016Daily Devotionals

Prayer:   Lord, help us to always love and receive our students every morning and impact them for Christ.

Scripture: “Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives me.” Matthew 18:4-5

Do you remember why you chose to become an educator? Was it because you love children? Was it to make a positive difference? Did you feel it was a calling? Stop and remember why, share your reasons with another Christian educator.  Later today write down your reasons and put them in your top desk drawer or the current page of your lesson plan book. Do you think you have made a difference in at least one person’s life? How?

Many educators don’t realize that when students from past years come to see them they are saying “you have a place in my heart” or “I haven’t forgotten how important you are to me.” You have received them, as Christ talked about in Matthew, and they continue to hold what you said or did close to their hearts and minds.

How can each of us carryout the attribute of being unforgettable in our daily environment (classroom, hallways, meetings, cafeteria, office, etc.)?
